What is an email QR code?

An email QR code stores a mailto: link with your email address. When someone scans it, their phone opens its mail app with a new email addressed to you. They write the message and press send.

This generator fills in the To address only. It does not add a subject line or body text. If you want people to start with a message you wrote, a WhatsApp QR code can carry one.

This is a static QR code. What it opens is stored in the image itself, so there is no redirect, no scan count and no way to change it after printing. To change it, make and print a new code. It does not create PayNow or SGQR payment codes.

How to make an email QR code

  1. Enter your email address. Type the address you want messages sent to. The tool checks the format, but it cannot check that the inbox exists, so read it twice.
  2. Add your logo and colours. Upload a logo for the centre if you like, keep a dark code on a light background and wait for Scan check passed.
  3. Download your code. Choose PNG for documents and social posts, SVG for design software or JPEG if a system needs a JPG.
  4. Test it. Scan the file with your phone and check the new email opens addressed to the right inbox.

Where an email QR code helps

Use a shared inbox, such as a support or sales address, rather than a personal one. A printed code lasts longer than most job roles.

Email or WhatsApp?

Print it, or put it on a stand

The download is yours to use anywhere: menus, flyers, stickers and signs. For a counter, the generator can carry the same artwork into a 3D-printed QR stand, or see the Tap Bar QR, which puts a QR panel beside NFC tiles. Ordering is optional. To print your own stand, try QR Stand Maker.

Email QR code FAQ

What happens when someone scans an email QR code?

Their phone opens its default mail app with a new email addressed to you. They write the subject and message, then press send.

Can I add a subject line or message?

Not in this generator. It encodes your address only, so the subject and body start empty. For a pre-written message, make a WhatsApp QR code instead.

Which mail app opens?

Whichever app the phone uses for email by default, such as Mail, Gmail or Outlook.

Is my email address visible to anyone who scans it?

Yes. The address is stored in the code as plain text. Use an address you are happy to share publicly, such as a shared support or enquiries inbox.

Can I change the email address later?

No. This is a static code with no redirect. Make and print a new code if your address changes.

Can I add my logo to an email QR code?

Yes. Upload a PNG, JPEG or WebP up to 2 MB, choose Small, Medium or Large, and download once the finished design passes the scan check.

Is it really free, with no sign-up?

Yes. Make the code and download PNG, SVG or JPEG without an account, an email address or a purchase. There is no watermark, and the code does not expire because nothing sits between the scan and your content.

Is anything I type uploaded?

No. The code and your logo are made in your browser. Your edits stay in this browser tab so a reload or a trip to a stand page does not lose them. Nothing is sent to a QR server.
